Our local newspaper\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/hosted.ap.org\/dynamic\/stories\/F\/FL_BOBCAT_ATTACK_FLOL-?SITE=FLNAP&amp;SECTION=HOME&amp;TEMPLATE=DEFAULT\">articles<\/a> often remind me of Huxley\u2019s essay, \u201cWordsworth in the Tropics.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"ap-story-p\" style=\"margin: auto 0in 11.25pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Wildlife officials say two men putting up a fence in Martin County on Florida&#8217;s east coast fended off and killed a 30-pound bobcat with a hammer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ap-story-p\" style=\"margin: auto 0in 11.25pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">The two men were working on a ranch when the bobcat attacked. One of the men hit the bobcat with a hammer and was able to get it off the other. Florida Fish and Wildlife spokeswoman Gabriella Ferraro says one of the men was treated at a hospital for scratches to his chest and bite marks to his shoulder.
