He Comes with Clouds Descending.\u201d<\/a> Charles Wesley reworked an older hymn and made it an expansion of the prayer in the Our Father: \u201cThy Kingdom come.\u201d Ralph Vaughan Williams harmonized the tune Helmsley for the 1906 English Hymnal.<\/p>\n The theme of the hymn is taken from Revelation 1:7: \u201cBehold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, every one who pierced him; and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.<\/p>\n Lo, He comes, with clouds descending,<\/p>\n once for our salvation slain;<\/p>\n thousand thousand saints attending<\/p>\n swell the triumph of his train:<\/p>\n Alleluia!
